Rev. Emily Horrell, who is known at Our Saviour's as Pastor Emily or Pastor Em, was born and raised in a small town in northern Illinois with her mom, dad, and younger sister, Carolyn. She graduated from Bradley University('03) with degrees in music and psychology. While there she played clarinet in the Bradley band and each fall she enjoys fine tuning her skills for the OSLC Salvation Army Band. She went to seminary at Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago('07) and completed internship at First Lutheran in Algona, Iowa. While on internship, Pr. Emily met her husband, Scott Horrell.

In August 2007, Pastor Emily was called to Our Saviour's for her first call. Currently, she serves on the Northeast Iowa Synod Global Mission board and the Good Shepherd Board of Directors. When she's not filling her days with visits and leading worship, she has a love for nature, exercise, shoe shopping, and most of all being with her family and friends. Some days she finds herself chasing in circles after their little one, Drew! Her husband, Scott, is currently student teaching in Ventura, Iowa in the 5th grade. The family has two cats named Callie and Molly along with two dogs, a chocolate lab named Charlie and a Wiemeraner named Duncan. There's never a dull moment!
