Are You 60 or Better? Do you enjoy spending time with your peers? Then this is the thing for you!!! On Thursday, February 18th at noon, there will be an organizational potluck in the fellowship hall for this very type of group. You will eat, talk, laugh and plan activities, lunches, outings and the like that YOU want to do. This group is open to all people who are 60 or better—singles, widows and widowers, couples...everyone is welcome. If you have questions, please talk to Barb Berner or Myra Karsjens. |
Families with Children We would like to start a fellowship group for you as well. Most of you are in your 20’s and 30’s, work hard all week and need a time to unwind, and have some fun and fellowship with people in the same situation. We will meet on Friday, February 5th at 7pm for snacks and to get our group up and running. We envision you getting together once a month or so, and going out to dinner, to the movies, bowling, whatever you decide as a group to do. Just get out of the house and have some fun together. Many of you have small children and need babysitting. We would like to help arrange that as well. Please talk to Pastor Emily if you have any questions!

Lenten Suppers will begin on Wednesday, February 25th at 5:30pm. We need people or groups to prepare simple meals for each Wednesday during Lent. In the past years we have had things like soups, sloppy joes, spaghetti, and potato bars. It is totally up to you what you will make. We just ask that you let the office know so that we don’t repeat meals.
You are responsible for purchasing the items needed to make your meal, preparing the meal, and helping with the serving. Parish Life will ask different groups in the church to help serve and that group will be responsible for set-up, serving, clean-up and cookies or bars to complete the meal. You will be paid back for what you purchase. It is not your responsibility to pay for the meal. Just to be the cook! Proceeds for the suppers have been earmarked for Parish Health |
And then there’s the rest of you… Your kids are grown and out of the house—or close to it. You work all week and would love to spend some time having fun and fellowship with other people your age. Our vision for this group is again once a month gatherings and doing things like movies and game nights; dinners and picnics; plays and concerts—just time together with friends. We will have an organizational meeting with snacks and beverages on Friday, February 5th at 7pm. Talk to Bob Grant for more information! |
